Class Sign-up Policy and General Supply List

KS0059Phone: 208-232-0709

To be registered for a class payment must be made.  NO refunds are given if you miss class.  Our teachers base their teaching materials and time on your committment.  Many of our class teachers have a maximum number of students that they will take in a class.  This is to insure the students are given the appropriate attention and assistance.  Some teachers also have a minimum number of students.  If the minimum number is not registered the class will be cancelled.  If the class is cancelled the teacher will contact you prior to class and a refund or credit for the class will be issued to you.

At the time of payment a detailed class supply list along with any preparation assignments will be given to you.  Below is a general supply list that is typical for most classes.

General Class Supply List

  • A good working sewing machine.  It does not have to be a super high end machine.  Most quilting classes only need a machine that has a good tight straight stitch and a nice ziz-zag stitch.  Take time before you come to class to learn how to operate your sewing machine.
  • ¼” quilting foot
  • A walking foot
  • Don’t forget your machine power cords and foot control
    • Bobbins
    • Thread – neutral colored thread.
    • Extra needles
    • Thread snips
    • Cutting mat – usually a 18” x  24” is plenty big enough
    • Rotary cutter with a new blade.
    • Quilting rulers – I like an 8 ½” x 24” and a 6 ½” x 12”
    • Travel Iron – larger irons are too power intensive.  We can have twice as many travel or mini irons than regular irons.
    • Portable iron mat or board
    • Pins
    • Measuring tape – 120”
    • Class specific supply lists are provided by the teachers.  As you register and pay for your class you will be given a class specific supply list.
    • Don’t forget to bring your lunch, snack and drink.  Many of our classes are 4 to 6 hours long and you may need nourishment.
    • Remember …. Classes are a great way to meet new friends who share a passion for quilting.
